Shreya starts her day in the Play Area with her friends, stretching and warming up.
9:30 AM to 9:50 AM - Circle Time
All of us gather together in our homeroom in a circle. This is our place where we meet together in a group and build our own community.
9:50 AM to 10:10 AM - Snack Break I
Shreya enjoys a quick snack break in the homeroom to recharge.
10:10 AM to 10:30 AM - Read Aloud Time
The teacher presents a Read Aloud on plants, setting the day's theme before Shreya's choice time begins.
10:30 AM to 11:25 AM - Choice Time
In choice time, Shreya can freely explore from three activities:
1. Exploring a documentary on the plant life cycle
2. Participating in a hands-on gardening workshop to plant a sapling
3. Crafting her own plant lifecycle booklet with recycled materials.
10:30 AM to 11:25 AM - Choice Time (Continued)
Shreya explores the learning centre and chooses to actively engage in planting a sapling during her choice time in the makerspace.
11:25 AM to 11:45 AM - Activity I
Post-activity, Shreya and friends form a small group to enquire deeper, peppering Nancy mam with questions about plants, like why they need soil, why they're green, and the purpose of watering them.
11:45 AM to 12:10 PM - Sensory Play
We love movement and have our children engage in physical play. Children build endurance, strength, and coordination as they spend time running, leaping, climbing, throwing and playing games.
12:10 PM to 12:30 PM - Small Group Time II
Following sensory play, Shreya joins a small group activity themed around plants, where they create tactile leaf rubbings to explore and enquire about the unique textures of different plant leaves.
12:30 PM to 1:00 PM - Art Time
Next, Shreya heads to the art room to create a vibrant collage of a garden, engaging in a mix of dried leaves, flowers, and colored papers to bring her plant theme to life.
1:00 PM to 1:15 PM - Reflection and Bye-Bye
Shreya heads back to the homeroom for a moment of reflection, listening to everyone express their day's experiences before she bids farewell to Likil and Alina, concluding their half-day adventure.
1:15 PM to 1:45 PM - Lunch Time + Wash Up
After saying goodbye, Shreya proceeds to the nourishment nook in the common area to enjoy her lunch time.
1:45 PM to 2:00 PM - Free Play/Relax
Post-lunch, Shreya opts for playtime, heading to the ball pool to join Nikita for some fun.
2:00 PM to 3:00 PM - Nap Time
Feeling tired, Shreya makes her way to the cozy nap pods for some restful sleep.
3:00 PM to 4:00 PM - Academics: Manipulatives
Refreshed from her nap, Shreya wakes up ready to dive into math concepts engaging with hands-on manipulative in the homeroom.
4:00PM AM to 4:30 PM - Specialised Class - Dance
After her math fun, Shreya heads to the studio to explore movement, starting with imitating leaves drifting through the air and culminating in learning simple dance steps to "We Are The World."
4:30 PM to 5:00 PM - Snack + Washup
Following her dance, Shreya returns to the homeroom for a snack and wash-up session.
5:00 PM to 5:30 PM - Story Time
Next, Shreya engages in storytime at the reading room, listening to "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" with her friends.
5:30 PM - Reflection and Bye-Bye
Shreya returns to the homeroom for a moment of reflection, expresing her thoughts on the day's adventures before bidding farewell to everyone, concluding her day.
